Your Future in Family Medicine

Future of Family Medicine

Our ground-breaking program prepares residents to be leaders in providing primary care.

The Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at CentraState Family Medicine Residency is an unopposed, university-sponsored residency located in a safe, suburban, and culturally diverse community.  Our goal is to provide our graduates the tools needed to excel in any future family medicine practice environment.

Residents treat their varied continuity patient panel in our own Family Medicine Center.  Some of the great perks of this location are free parking, a daily meal allowance, and discounted membership to a new Fitness and Wellness Center. All residents also receive a new iPad and smart phone allowance to keep them connected to our state of the art Electronic Medical Record and other online resources.

The supportive and energetic Rutgers faculty members have proven successful in building Family Medicine practices and have been published in well-respected journals like the Swanson Family Medicine Review. As members of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, our residents are granted full access to the RWJMS library system.

After completion of the residency program, CentraState provides unique career planning assistance to help our graduates to take advantage of the tremendous opportunity for practice establishment within this growing community.
